Yesterday has been eventful.

-Had 1cm-thick-of-oil ma la and tom yam steamboat buffet thing.
-I failed in pool.. terribly.
-Ate macs for the third time this week. I'm going to hell really soon.

Merry Christmas. Today has been awesome. At least for the later part of the day.

Woke up in the morning cause my brother opened the door after he woke up and refused to close it. Typical. I just shouted out the room "oi close the door leh" and my mum had to close it. Thank god I'm getting my own room. It was so damn noisy. Got dragged to woodlands cause I was required to pack stuff. Moving back soon. They say it's this week. Lies. Probably next week. Centris is still in a mess damnit.

Woodlands was horrible. I had bball at 1 with the homies but well my dad decided to piss me off and made me carry stuff till 2.30. No I didn't and I won't complain. At least to him. Just because I respect him and I don't want to argue it doesn't mean that I will suffer in silence. Sadly he's losing my respect. But I still won't pick a fight with him. Well he finally earned my respect. Now he's losing it. Too bad for him.

Went for basketball late. It was fun. Haven't touched a ball in god knows how long. Especially when you're playing with your homies. Jinying nearly killed me. Kelvin nearly killed me. But besides that I think I kinda enjoyed myself.

Dinner at Jack's Place. Homie Dinner ahah. First even Homie Xmas Dinner. It was cooool.

12 days of Christmas.. you wish. HAHAHA.

Cavs at Lakers later. We all know the Lakers are gonna win :D Watching Celtics @ Magic now. Boring first quarter. Falling asleep. But nooo I gotta stay awake for the Lakers game haha.

Been sleeping really little this week. I'm likely to spend the entire saturday afternoon sleeping.. at my grandma's place. I doubt she minds. I'll sleep on the couch or sth.

ESPN IS FAIL THEY DONT HAVE THE LAKERS GAME LATER NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Musings of an adolescent. Within you find the pains, and the joys, though limited, of a male student.

Yesterday was my brother's birthday. it was the usual brother-birthday-day. He whines and nags. I'm not complaining. I'm just stunned with his behavior. it was bordering on childish. I nearly snapped at him. Nearly. Just because it was his birthday I decided to give him leeway. He can whine. He can nag. But its his birthday and I won't spoil it for him. Happy Birthday, nevertheless.

Lost the bottom part of my retainers. Long story. Gah. Horrible mood. Had dinner. Then I left the retainers on the plate and walked off. Went back after realizing it and they only had my top part left. So I took it, better then nothing. Called my mother to report it. She was not angry, surprisingly. Just told me to check again. Usual stuff. I'm feeling shitty. To replace the bottom part I need to fork out 107 dollars. Though my parents are gonna pay for me I still feel bad.I stupidly lost it. I'm intending to give my GP cheque to them. At least it makes me feel better. Though I still feel extremely retarded for leaving my retainers behind. Next time I'm never gonna take my retainers out. I just won't eat out. Or I'll make sure I have the damn case. Still, last time I ate I still left the case behind on the table. TJ saved my life. He took it for me. Owe him one. There was another time where the exact thing happened. This time my saviors being Kelvin and Huiming. Thank god I have friends. Even so my family reminds me very often.

4 am. i'm feeling crazy. One min I'm feeling crappy and the next I'm fine.bloody hormones. or the lack of sleep. this post is funny. i type it halfway then chat chat chat then type more and chat more. i'm not the only one awake at this unearthly hour.

If there's one thing I've learnt from last week. It's that life isn't a game and that your life isn't a damn movie. You may be wallowing in self-depreciation and pity but someone else may be having all the luck. Sure, you're devastated. You and perhaps your family and close friends knew it. but life goes on. this isn't a movie about your life. I've been telling myself to stay strong. Live with it. Even when you're gone the world continues to evolves and change. Don't read too much into this. This isn't directed at anyone. Even if it is, it's me. Life can be a continual bitch again and again. But I'll live with it. I'll survive.

Time is but a word. It passes relentlessly, regardless of what you call it, and how fast it's measured at. If you don't seize it, you'll lose it.

Heh it's my brother's birthday. So he's 15. Finally. Heh. Got him a Pissed Off Pineapple shirt I saw the other day (Friday actually).

Sorry Tong Jun =/ Keep canceling stuff. Friday's one was partially because I wanted to get my brother's present and also because I alr promised my friend but stupidly forget about it. And today was just plain screwed. Gah.

it's 2.30 and im awake. probably because i took a nap at my grandma's. now how am I gonna sleep sigh. waking at 7 tmr cause im going back to woodlands to move some stuff. cheap free labour for my dad. But well since it's for the greater good for my family I have little no qualms about doing it.. I hope.

I returned to Woodlands today to check on the house and I found a pleasant surprise in the letter-box. Good Progress Award. Time to woohoo :D Can't collect the money yet though, probably ask my parents for an advance or sth and get a decent acoustic guitar aha.

Got the Fallout Boy album. I got scammed. i thought it was like a LIVE thing. Turns out its the greatest hits and I probably have half of the songs already. On the bright side, I get a free tee that I cannot fit into. It's sized-M. Bull.

cutest shit ever. wanna watch anyone?

Sherlock Holmes as well. :D

wth la i think my glasses are hurting my nose bridge. hurts like hell.

Heh. 'Today was spent awesome-ly. Spent the day with the best people on earth.' Paraphrase from the convo I had with ronghui haha. Well it was nearly true. Not all that I could have wanted, anyway.

Tempest training in the morning. I overslept. Woke up at 8.30. I'm sorry. But still wasted time is still time. Rushed down asap. Went to pick Zj, Wenkang, Kelvin and Alvin. Alvin.. lol. Guest star for today. Alvin and the chipmunks. Trained at 338 since RP's court is locked and Centris got screwed. Training was killer thriller. tiring. obviously. I think my body has deteriorated since the HK trip. The cold weather probably killed my lungs. Now I have a hunch my asthma's returning zz. Wheezed a little. Maybe it's the lack of sleep I don't know.

Went to meet Rh and Tj after training. Huiming Kelvin Alvin and I. Went to OCC to play pool and bowled a game of bowling. tsk what else lmao. my pool fails now. sigh. Pool is fun, nonetheless. saw lucas there with.. someone that I do not know rofl. My bowling cmi as well lol.

oh shit i just saw. two fat blisters on my first and last toes on both feet.

Tomorrow. Gym + guitar-viewing with Tj and halim.

Happy Birthday to you people. :D

Been to BFY for the first time in ages. In a year. New faces. New groups. New activities. Whatever. But the one thing's still the same. The talks are informative :)

Four Noble Truths.
1.There is suffering.
2. There is a cause for suffering.
3. There is an end to suffering.
4. The way out of suffering - The Noble Eightfold Path.

it makes sense. yes. but to accept it and change your life isn't easy. This isn't advertisment for buddhism. I don't get paid LOL. i believe I have full rein to express my views on whatever I deem relevant to any topic I can choose.

shit happens. sigh. it isnt just shit. it's shit-in-shit.

Centris just got screwed.

Training in the morning at RP. 830am. Off to bed i go. Wake at up 7am ftw.

Oh. Happy Birthday RH + SQ haha ;)

Listening to more weird songs nowadays as well. Taylor Swift, Metallica, Radiohead. Ha. I actually find them nice. The Taylor Swift songs are from my sis cause she bought the album and I felt cheap so I took the album and copied it to my computer as well haaha. Metallica was sent to me I think. I can't remember why or how I got it. Radiohead's also sent to me cause of the Rock Band influence lmao.

Oh. The HK pictures. I just transferred them into my new PC. Will be up when i finally decide to trawl through and pick out some. 4GB worth of pics. Someone save me.

Bon Jovi's good too. I bought The Circle. Their latest album.

2:02 AM
Returning to Singapore tomorrow. I'm actually overjoyed. I can't wait to get back and play soccer and basketball and whatnot. Oh, and pool.

The trip to Hong Kong , despite many pleasurable moments that I have derived from shopping, was not a happy trip. Did plenty of thinking cause, well, it's a vacation and you're supposed to think. That was bullshit anyway. I just did a ton of thinking.

I think I've matured. I'm not that little dude who's so obsessed with lego and gundam models anymore. In the past I was really nuts over gundam models and lego. My dad went to japan for a business trip and I told him to get me a gundam model for my birthday. He did, in fact. i was bloody elated. Then today we went to this Toys R Us somewhere at Harbour City in Tsim Tsa tsui, which is not very far from where we were residing at. Main agenda for me was to get some clothes, which was.. not similar to what the rest of the family wanted. Nevertheless, my sister wanted some lego (surprise surprise, cause the last time she got it, i had to assemble it for her) and insisted Toys R Us. Went there, and she finally got her Indiana Jones Lego (Don't ask, no flipping idea). My brother got some Star Wars Lego as well. Which also came as a surprise, since he was never much of a Lego fan. I was inclined to get one, since my dad offered, but then I came to realize that the past Lego sets that I've assembled are.. stashed somewhere in my home. Sure you get a certain sense of satisfaction when you finish the assembling, but that's about as far as it goes. My room isn't gonna be spacious, I doubt I have space to display my present gundam models already, to think about getting more. So I just ogled (wrong word maybe) at the models they had, and thought about how good it would look together with the others I have. It was a Destiny Gundam Extreme Burst Mode Master Grade, and putting it together with my Freedom and Infinite Justice Gundam would look totally awesome. Well, self-restraint kicked in and I put the damned thing back onto the rack. It was tempting. I resisted temptation and I'm proud of it. Ha. I'd like to spend that money on more practical things. For example, clothes. Next best thing behind food.

I GET TO EAT JI DAN ZAI AHAHAHHAHA. Egg thing. Think waffles. Pancake. Whatever you call it. That same mix of flour and eggs I think. Made into the shape of eggs. Small egg shaped things. It's nice brown crispy and hot. Excellent in this accursed glacial weather.

My exercising has gone to waste as well. I think I've probably tripled my chance of getting heart disease in this week. I'm eating a lot. Unhealthy food. The Char Chan Teng downstairs has some really good food. Like roast geese and all but.. it's extremely oily. The street snacks are to die for as well. They're delectable and full of flavour. Curry fishballs, spicy barbecued sausages, cuttlefish, pork intestines LOL and the like. Way better then Singapore and her pasar malam snacks. The "Hoi Nan Chicken Rice" that they serve at the cafe tastes better then some stores in singapore, I daresay.

Having said that, I still miss singapore food. Meepok and stuff.

But it's all unhealthy haiz. I've made an oath to myself to just enjoy the food for this week, and once I return to singapore I'll go on a daily regime. Gruelling perhaps, but one that will make me a healthier person. I know my own body.

Oh, and I get a kick when I enter Nike stores to look and they give me a stunned look cause they've never seen the colourway of my Air Force 1 before. It feels good, really. To be wearing something limited edition and then they give you this bewildered look. Hehe.

Since I'm returning to singapore tomorrow, or in about.. 14 hours time, I shall do a quick reflection. Sights were seen. Sounds were heard. Atmosphere was absorbed. Home is still the best. I miss my friends. I miss my home. I miss playing soccer in Fushan. I miss playing basketball in Centris/806/anywhere. Sigh. Hong Kong is fun, to say the least. If you're able to put aside all your worries and reservations, and to just enjoy the time you have now with your family then it would be fun, I assure you. Don't think. haa. The food is nice, affordable. Know where to go. Given a choice, Disneyland > Ocean Park. Ocean Park's a bloody tourist trap. 9 dollars for a bowl of char siew rice. Ripoff. Disneyland.. fine it's a tourist trap as well, but the parades and fireworks make it worth it. The fireworks alone are worth going. They're beautiful. The weather's pretty good, no rain at least. It's really nice in the day cause you definitely don't sweat. But at night and you wanna take a shower or sth, you're gonna freeze. It's cold, but bearable. Wear socks or something. I refuse to look stupid therefore I'm suffering.

To be in a foreign land and having plenty of regrets takes its toll.

When i get back home, first thing I'm gonna do is to cut my damn nails.

Sorry if I'm not on track. I'm cranky. I slept at 5am last night, thanks to msn. Spent the whole day out and shopping and walking and listening to people bitch about how far we've walked and how they wanna go back to watch some award show in cantonese by cantonese people which is a bloody repeat. In other words I'm tired and slightly put off. Just slightly, cause the picture on my screen saver made me laugh when I came out of the shower. That's the thing I love about macs, the screensaver can be set to be entirely random, just something in your file directory of pictures.

speaking of pictures all the pictures are in my sis's computer. damn.

3am. I'm turning nocturnal.

As promised. Yesterday. Or, the first of December. The trip to Disneyland.

Well it went as planned, that is if anything was planned. Got tons of pictures but they in my sister's laptop, not my macbook. Disneyland was re-experienced, in a sense. I've been to HK Disneyland two years ago cause I was in HK then. This time was no different, except for the Christmas/Winter parade they had and the fireworks. You'll never get bored of the fireworks.

Souvenir picking was horrible. Didn't know what to get. So I got X for X. Yeah. Let's just keep it at that. You worry about offending so many people. Heh.

Fireworks were.. well indescribable. Unable to describe it in words. One of the few rare awesome things in life that need to be experienced to be understood. A Whole New World is pretty much one of the highlights. Transcendental piece of music.

Oh yeah, the people working at Dland also gave guests this cool eye-glass thing. It's a piece of cardboard with two pieces of plastic at where the eyes are supposed to be. Yeah it's cheap, but it's awesome. You look through it at night and.. well you see something. Fireworks look even more beautiful. Christmas lighting turns even more christmas-sy. I won't tell what it does. If I have the chance I'd like to be able to show it myself. It amplifies the mood, to sum it up.

I believe that HK Disneyland is probably designed by Freemasons. For example, the door at the Disney PhilharMagic (pun on philharmonics) has 13 notes, not including rests. The music kind. The doors are actually staves. All three sets of doors have 13 notes. Furthermore, the two laurels that Mickey is seen standing on also have 13 leaves each. In many places, Mickey also does the Hand Of Mysteries, in which the thumb and index finger create a V, not unlike a 'gun' that small kids do, with the other fingers pointing back downwards. The index finger points skywards. This hand is also seen in The Lost Symbol, read it yourself I won't spoil it for you but it does play a significant role. I took a look in glassware shops, the sorcerer mickey is nearly always seen with his index finger pointing skyward and the thumb parallel to the ground. Hand of mysteries much? The number 13, the number of letters in E Pluribus Unum, another factor that was mentioned in the book. I actually have more examples but I can't remember them now. Just a theory. Heh. Influenced by Dan Brown. Bloody brilliant writer.

Oh, I finished The Associate. Another wonderful book. Finished it just. Two days. Not bad, considering I was out for the most of it. 'Legal Thriller', literally.

The food in Hong Kong is simply awesome. Zi Dan Zai and whatnot. all the snacks. I'm having supper for 3 consecutive days. Putting on weight probably. but then again maybe not since the weather's so damn cold i'm using up the energy to keep myself warm.I actually turned the air-conditioner off since it was making me even colder, somehow.

DISCLAIMER: THIS IS WRITTEN TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE. If Rowling or any official spokesperson has made any statement or this is clearly just a mis-reading by me, then I am not held liable. If you are such a Potty Potter fan and cannot tolerate any flak then do not read this.

In retrospection, I think that the Harry Potter series was just a fluke by J.K Rowling. Sure, the first 3 books weren't popular to begin with. Besides, the first book was the foundation of the entire series. In my honest opinion I find that it had many loopholes which were desperately tried to be covered up by Rowling.
For example, the main plot.
Book 1: Voldermort rises, Harry's first encounter with wizards.
Book 2: Voldermort lurks in Hogwarts (somehow, unclear how, just a silly library), and a secret chamber was supposedly built.
Book 3: Sirius Black (Who the hell is he) appears, Voldemort seemingly takes a break and is hardly mentioned. Time-turners(never mentioned ever in the series, futile attempt by Rowling to include time-travel into the wizarding world.) Remus Lupin appears suddenly as well. Werewolf, Marauder's Map, and Peter Pettigrew.
Book 4: Goblet of fire. Apparently there ARE wizards in other countries and they have a Qudditch World Cup that takes place like soccer, once every four years. If that was the case, what happened in Harry's First year? No mention of the cup AT ALL, if it was really such a huge event. Once again I view this as a futile attempt by Rowling to insert fillers and redundant characters.
Book 5: Order Of The Pheonix appears. if they really were that effective what happened in the first four years? Lupin and Sirius were present at least in the third year, no mention of the Order, or the lengths they have gone to to protect Harry.
Book 6: First mention of a Horcrux.]
Book 7: Unrealistic. What luck. Destroying the world's most dangerous enemy in a lucky duel? Sure, some weird wizarding rules occur that not even Dumbledore is aware of. If there really was such magic that was considered 'uncharted' then I think that it really is a poor attempt at explaining herself.

To sum it all up, I no longer think that Harry Potter is 'all that'. Sure, it makes good reading once in awhile but when you really start to think of it as a whole, the plot isn't as fluid as some other sagas. Oh, film adaptations are horrible, really.

It's freezing now. Numb fingers. I adjust the thermostat PAST 30 degress Celcius and I'm still chilled. Sheer cold much. The good thing about the weather is that you don't sweat. If you really want to you can probably go a week without bathing and won't smell bad. If you're able to live with all the germs and bacteria and whatever-it-is that dwells you-know-where.

3.45AM. the joy of the internet. I sidetrack so much and I can't even complete a simple post.

Today was spent on Lanma Island. Didn't really like it, did far too much walking for a holiday. okay fine I dont mind walking, but just mindless walking isn't my thing. Lanma Island is basically an island off the coast of HK, take a 30 mins ferry ride at fixed times to any of the two ports at Lanma Island. Went to the southern port, forgot the name. Sok Kwu Wan or something. Trekked up the mountain for a fair bit of distance, in jeans and a hoodie. Wasn't expecting to go trekking. At least there was a path for us to walk. But nonetheless I didn't enjoy it much cause my dad was being stubborn. It was evidently the wrong way but he insisted in walking and we pretty much ended up far away from our intended route. Backtracked and returned to the port instead. Had some seafood for lunch at 4. It was damn good. Garlic + garlic + garlic. Don't know why but I'm not complaining.

I daresay the food in HK is far better then whatever you'll find in singapore. Except for maybe a few dishes. Meepok, laksa and the like.

Headed to some shopping district thing. Went to HMV, bought shirts (yes you read right) at HMV. They practically sell nearly everything. I thought HMV was just music CDs, well I was wrong. They sell calenders, music cds, games, earphones, books, movies, even shirts lol.

I think I've bought alot of clothing already ha. But then I always feel as if I'm lacking shirts to wear. I only bought shirts. One from disneyland, two from some Nike shop and two from HMV.

Tomorrow will probably be spent at the Buddha statue. I don't know what that place is called but i'll update tomorrow night when I get back. 4am atm. I knew I shouldn't have drank the starbucks coffee.

I'm awake, this means one thing. I'm hooked onto a book. The Associate by John Grisham. Borrowed from Toa Payoh's library. Shall update tmr about today. Or rather shall update tonight, about yesterday and today.

Keypoints, just in case I forget:
-Disneyland.
-Souvenir-picking and the perils that come with it.
-Awesome food at the char chan teng near the hotel that I'm staying at.
-Conspiracy theory about Hong Kong Disneyland being designed by Freemasons. (inspired by The Lost Symbol, and I have a good deal of speculation that happens to coincide.)
-Fireworks
-Cool hologram eyepiece thing.
-My thoughts on the Harry Potter and Twilight series.
-How the actor that played Cormac McLaggen in the Half-Blood-Prince will turn out to be the new heart-throb 3 years down the road in a not-so-new fantasy novel/saga that just happens to be made into a movie that comes from popularised genres in an unconventional mixture. ALA TWILIGHT and RPAT. (tbh i condemn Twilight)

Back to the book. Halfway through. Law. My once lofty ambition to be a barrister is seemingly rekindled, despite Grisham's bleak portrayal of being in the law sector.

Snooker's on tv. Snooker is cool. But pool's way better hehe. Snooker's hard to play.
